I spent my apprenticeship obsessively drawing and painting American traditional flash to master the "bold will hold" philosophy, and I still love the readability of those timeless designs from across a room. At the same time, my work in Chicano fine line is my way of honoring the California culture I grew up in. I want your tattoo to look as good in twenty years as it does the day you leave the shop. However, I don't just want to give you a great tattoo; I want to build a lasting connection. For me, the best part of the job is the trust we build and the relationships that grow long after the tattoo has healed.
